David Karnovsky is a member of the Real Estate Department resident in Fried Frank's New York office. He joined the Firm in 2014 as a partner.
Mr. Karnovsky's practice focuses on land use, zoning, real estate development, and environmental review. Since joining the Firm, Mr. Karnovsky has worked on a number of high-profile zoning and land use matters in the Hudson Yards area, Lower Manhattan, and Brooklyn on behalf of JP Morgan Chase, Tishman Speyer, Related Companies, and Madison Equities, among others.
Notable projects include advising in connection with the following:
JP Morgan Chase in connection with various aspects of its planned redevelopment of its headquarters at 270 Park Avenue. Fried Frank advised JP Morgan in connection with zoning diligence for the redevelopment of 270 Park Avenue and negotiated agreements for the transfer of up to 668,000 square feet of development rights to the site. The Firm is currently assisting in the implementation of the project under the Greater East Midtown rezoning.
