R&D Crane has been a major player in the local scene for a few years now with mobile and crawler cranes. They are owned by the Cherubini Group and appeared spun off as their own company starting with cranes Cherubini was using for their metal fabrication installs, and have since expanded with more equipment.
Their rise locally seemed to time with All Cranes closing their local office. R&D is based out of the large new Burnside Cherubini facility. They have a strong hold on local tower crane activity, and their yard appears to be used as a temporary storage facility for cranes between jobs. Diving by yesterday, I spotted what looks like a new to Halifax crane I assume we will see up in the coming weeks. It appears to be direct from the manufacturer.
