I just want to highlight some of the major city defining projects that Ottawa-Gatineau will see within a decade (2018-2028) if all goes to plan:

- Three new arenas (Slush Puppie, Civic Centre, Sens Downtown arena);
- A half new stadium (TD Place north stands);
- Two new major hospitals of 600+ beds (Civic and Gatineau);
- A new central library;
- Around 100 km of new urban rail (Ottawa Stage 1 and 2 + Gatineau tram);
- A dozen+ or so skyline defining new towers (Dow's Lake, Albert and Lyon, LeBreton and many more);
- A new riverfront urban district (Zibi)...

And so much more I'm sure I am forgetting. Truly a transformative decade for the region.
