I don't necessarily care for the vintage trolleys either, but St. Louis can be a region that appreciates - sometimes too much - nostalgia.
Joe Edwards, the de facto mayor of The Loop business district, is largely responsible for pushing the vintage trolley. This project is his baby.
I would have preferred sleeker cars.
Below is one of the trolley cars St. Louis is refurbishing, which was
decommissioned by Portland, Oregon.
The Loop Trolley in St. Louis should be operational by mid-to-late 2016.
