Your wish may partially come true. Percy Wilbur (developer of The Wentworth) purchased the Woolworth building on King’s Sq. and word on the street he doesn’t plan on saving it. Apparently sprinklers were going off for days and nobody could reach owners in BC. Once turned off there was 8’ of water in lower level causing damage to concrete and steel. He will probably use Spitfire again for a design. Rumour he’ll go 11 stories but not sure about that. Most likely 8 to match Admiral Beatty building. There shouldn’t be any legitimate opposition because the height of other buildings on the square and location on NW corner shouldn’t block sunlight. Regardless whether it’s 7 or 11 stories it will be prominent on skyline due to incline of hill. That along with new Wellington building will fill in some skyline gaps.
