Interesting read. Station set record for 75 years continuous use. Was built before city supplied water so the pumpers filled from "hot" Beverly Blvd and Oxford - mineral spring. Nearby Bimini Slough, ring a [fire]bell?

Station responsible for extinguishing 9th floor fire at American Storage in '44.
