RXR Realty And Development Partners Launch Leasing At 360 Huguenot In Downtown New Rochelle

Quote:
A trio of big-name developers has launched leasing at 360 Huguenot, a 28-story, mixed-use development at 360 Huguenot Street in downtown New Rochelle. A collaboration by RXR Realty, ABS Partners, and Brause Realty, the new building contains 280 rentals, 14,000 square feet of retail, and a 10,000-square-foot arts and culture space.

Designed by PS&S Architecture, apartments range from studios to two-bedroom apartments. Each residence is outfitted with hardwood flooring, large closets, and furnished appliances. Amenities include an outdoor terrace with grills and green space, a game room, an indoor/outdoor yoga studio and fitness center, a pet spa, and bicycle storage. The building also offers on-site valet parking and electric vehicle charging stations.

The cultural facilities will be programmed by the city as part of New Rochelle’s Community Benefit Bonus Program, which allows developers to supersede allowable building heights in exchange for the provision of a community-oriented amenity. 360 Huguenot is among the first developments to take advantage of this program.

“The launch of 360 Huguenot is a major milestone in the economic and cultural renewal of downtown New Rochelle,” said New Rochelle mayor Noam Bramson. “In addition to bringing modern, high-quality housing to the downtown core, 360 Huguenot will enhance our local arts scene with its cultural center and community gallery space, which will be programmed and operated by the City of New Rochelle. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with RXR and to starting this new chapter in New Rochelle’s exciting evolution.”

In 2015, the City of New Rochelle partnered with RXR Realty to conceive and deliver a transformative economic redevelopment plan for the downtown area. The developer’s proposed master plan was approved in a unanimous, bipartisan vote and will eventually create over 2 million square feet of commercial office space, 5,500 residential units including affordable and low-income housing, over 1 million square feet of retail and dining area, 300,000 square feet of hospitality space, and approximately 2.3 million square feet of student housing, adult care, and institutional space.
