I expect to see lot more high-rises going up in Deep Ellum, The Design District, and Knox-Henderson as well since uptown really is for the most part filled and expensive. However beyond just the height restrictions, these areas do not seem like the best spots for taller skyscrapers as they would be out of scale when comparing to the more closed in and neighborly feel of these areas. For example although I like the Cityplace Tower besides it having a cool look, it along with the huge AT&T building do not blend or fit in at all with the surrounding area. The Cedars and Southern CBD however seem like they would be perfect areas for skyscrapers, as they are currently further behind on their development path and are still primarily industrial. Plus with AT&T's announcement, this area will likely get a lot more investor interest in the future.
