The McGinnis Cotton Mill

Where workers once toiled in a Southern mill, families now enjoy new apartments. The Maginnis Cotton Mill, in New OrleansĀ“ Warehouse District, was built in 1882 and operated until 1944. Although the building went through a number of tenants, nobody rose to the challenge of restoring it. Then Historic Restoration, Inc. came along in 1998 with one of the largest renovation efforts New Orleans has ever seen.
