There is a house at the top of the highest point in Hays County (at the top of a not so prominent hill) in the Austin metro area, at 1640’ above mean sea level. There are houses in Luling that bottom out at 240’ feet along the San Marcos river. One wonders if they are actually still occupied, being a heavily and often flooded area.
So, 1400’ within the metro area. It’s probably around 1000’ within the city itself.
