I went to the Expo in 1986 and had a good time. I went in summer so it hardly rained at all. Didn't they do something with that area (is it called False Bay?) to make it fun after the expo ended? Or just a bunch of condo/apt. towers? Missed opportunity. Vancouver is a place to enjoy nature. The tram ride up to Grouse Mountain is fun and the view spectacular. Victoria is nice too, and even more staid than Van. All the afternoon teas and British vibe. Nice but give me Canada. Canada is not England (or France) and it is not the U.S.-- it is Canada and that is good.
