Or just go for the title tallest building in North America. New York can’t have all the titles.

Probably, but doing this still leads to more probability of a design tweak, despite the fact that the recent article still says 1,422 (they can be wrong though).
It can't be that much more expensive to add on another 30+ feet. Then they can say they have the tallest building in Chicago (minus the Sears antennas), a more exciting place to live than the second tallest building in Chicago no doubt  |
