Interesting in that the building started out as a Durant dealership--a mighty ambitious project for a small car company that had just had a two-year suspension of sales. Anyway, neither Durant's tenancy or the car would last too long.

Sam Bennett is listed in L.A. Ford dealer advertising at 237 S Vermont as early as January 1931. Looks like he'd moved from another Mediterranean-style building at the s/e corner of Beverly and Juanita. (It's gone too.)
