The only really high structure is that tv tower. But we see the same developement in other provincial cities. Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, etc all seem to get very talls or super talls nowadays. Still I rather see this building added to the Shanghai skyline.
What Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and Guangzhou has been doing for the last ten years is now being repeated by the "second tier" cities like Tianjin, Chengdu, Shenyang and Chongqing, which are simply playing catchup.
Nothing strange about this at all.
