Blame local area politicians who blocked the initial federal funding for the line, so Metro had to pay for it themselves. If they would have had federal funding, there for sure would have been more overpasses.

I'm so glad Tom Delay and John Culberson can't inflict anymore damage to Houston transit growth. If Houston had a proper inner city light rail system, we'd probably see more mixed-use proposals and growth outside of the energy industry.
