pwright, your photo threads are always good.

one thing about the climate is that, as with ppl, plants & trees become damaged when they're exposed to temperatures that are either too hot or too cold. I used to not understand that & took the weather for granted.

however, LA is vulnerable to droughts, so the Mediterranean type aridity can be also a mixed blessing. But when I see photos of coastal locations on the east coast, where trees & shrubbery are different...sparser...due to cold winters, it does affect the friendliness of the way a place looks.
