St. Genesius building is the very same building that become extremely famous Spago restaurant in 80's and made Wolfgang Puck a household name. Chefs Nancy Silverton and Mark Peel both cooked in there before starting their now-gone Campanile and La Brea Bakery.

St. Genesius/ Spago building is still there, looking untouched. To my knowledge, it never had any another restaurant or any other businesses.

The Texaco building is now Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, remodeled with a heavy hand.
