^Yeah, that is why I suppose settelement marks are bright green. There is not any overlap I can think of with other utilities: yellow for gas, orange for telicom, red for electric, blue for water, and so on. I do believe the marks however, are for locations serving as benchmarks for the survey, rather than locations of stuff underground.
