So a pretty decent job, although I think they start pretty low the first year.

From their current contract, a first class firefighter earns
$85,619 / year.

The extra indicated above on sunshine lists are for things like overtime (because they cut back years ago), pay in lieu of stat days, and retroactive pay.

It is my understanding the common and traditional standard is parity with police and that it's pretty much the same all across Ontario.
