I'd like to make these observations then back on topic.
To begin with, my understanding of the Libeskindian spiral was to correct a problem that the original Twins created to begin with, i.e. sheer overwhelming dominance in the downtown skyline. BPC IMO should've been built taller to continue offsetting the imbalance; but there it is.
To the other point, I don't think it's a good idea yet to plop a supertall too far north of Downtown. I'd like to see some more in the height range of 56L and 227C before that happens.
That said, too.....outside of the debate re double skyline debate of geology v. socioeconomics/demographics, the overall cityscape is rightfully still being shaped with both clusters in isolation of each other. This business with peaks, valleys and bookends can be a nice discussion to have; but in reality, developers with agendas and shitloads of money have the last word.
