I suspect The History Center had a project to record the history for a lot of properties, but the project ended in the 90s.

Thanks The ATX. As history is continuously being made I hope occupancy is being recorded in some form. And it should be much easier to do today than it was 20 years ago. I wonder if there's a way for google to display the history of what it knows about a particular address. Street view can go backwards in time.
