GONE Tribune and Eaton's building
STILL THERE Free Press (not used by the Free Press) and Hudson's Bay (a dying retailer that Millennials and Gen Xers no longer shop at).

What's your point? That we should hold up dying buildings just because? The Free Press is no longer downtown. They vacated the building in the 1991 redesign of the newspaper. I'd like to see a massive tower there, to modernize that part of Portage Ave. Same thing with parking garage/retail at 138 Portage. Same thing with Money Mart on Portage. Same thing with that second hand store on Portage.

It's already near 2020 and we still have 100 yr. old small buildings. Time for something newer with a larger footprint. And brighter.
