This is very interesting. The 747 was full and half the passengers looked Asian to me, I was part of a group of 24 missionaries traveling from Salt Lake City to Sao Paulo and other points in Brazil.

I remember being told we were the first group to go through LAX in a long time and most missionaries headed to Brazil went through Miami or New York.
