Still very little progress at TD Place.



The adjacent Fortis Building (not to be confused with Fortis Place, one of our major U/C projects) will also be reclad. It was the very first office building in downtown St. John's so it's about time it got a facelift.

Fortis Building - Retrofit.

Retrofitting work is expected to start sometime after 2012. Fortis had proposed a 15-storey tower to be built adjacent, but it was abandoned after considerable public
opposition. This 12-storey building opened in 1969 as the Royal Trust Building, and was the first office tower in St. John's.
