Winnipeg is a beautiful and vibrant city with fantastic architecture. Winnipeg's very slow growth since WW11 meant that she never experienced the carnage of post WW11 "urban renewal" which saw so much architectural history being torn down in almost every other city. It also never built an urban freeway so it's neighbourhoods are intact and connected. She enjoys a vibrant pedestrian realm and a very relaxed and bohemian attitude. Winnipeg is also Western Canada's cultural capitol. Fun fact...........the world renowned Royal Winnipeg Ballet was the first ballet company in all of the Americas.

Winnipeg is now back on a roll and is growing by a very respectable level of 1.5% per year but unlike other Western Canadian cities, she is taking her architectural heritage with her into the 21st century.
