This is especially true in pretty much all major metro areas. $2300/month also sounds pretty reasonable for a 2-BR in highly-sought Chester County. Comparably desirable suburban areas in other metro areas would cost at least 20% more.
I have noticed that the rents on available apartments in my complex are slightly down...not by much but down nevertheless. A unit in my building has been vacant since October.
