Looking at these makes me think of suburban Milwaukee. In the mid/late 1990s, my sister and her husband lived there when he was going to medical school at MCW, and when I visited them a few times there, we drove through areas that kind of looked like this.
And is that the standard way of spelling "Gyros" in Canada? If so, I like that it's phonetic, and IMO should be the standard spelling in English. It's transliterated from Greek writing anyway, so I don't know how the spelling "Gyros" came to be.
