I am sure the tour guide was correct. New Edinburgh is tucked in between Rideau Hall and the Rideau River and has little presence when travelling by tour bus along Sussex. Once you pass 24 Sussex (the Prime Minister's residence) and Rideau Hall (the Governor General's residence), you are in Rockcliffe. The distance between the Rideau River and Rideau Hall is only a few blocks so the guides focus on the two residences and perhaps the French Embassy.
