Canning Plaza - 2 towers of 130m (426ft) & 91m (298ft) sitting around a sunken public square and sculpture. Built in the mid 80's and clad in Italian Red Marble,
was one of the most obvious developments during this decade and became a classic example of opulent, extravagant architecture.
Today the slightly dated exterior still gives off a wealthy, corporate feel, even if architecturally it has been eclipsed by more interesting developments.
I was quite happy with how Canning Plaza came out modelling-wise, and was part inspired by a building in London on Victoria Street (only
Londoners may know of this building). My one error was the coloumns, which look far to thin and have since been fattened.
