I was at the top of the Empire State Building back in May 2007 and I just remember looking out across the city and seeing everything, and then looking towards Downtown and seeing how...incomplete the skyline looked, and how there was just this gaping hole of where something should be that just isn't anymore. It was pretty moving. I wish I had pictures from up there, but my camera sucks at night.
