Denver's 16th Street Pedestrian Mall has been extended over the last decade, past Union Station, over the Consolidated Mainline Railroad tracks to the Central Platte Valley (with Millennium Bridge). Then over the South Platte River (with the Platte River Bridge) and finally over I-25 to the Highlands neighborhood (with the The Highland Bridge). This series of three pedestrian bridges all contribute significantly to the architecture and connectivity of the area:
