I do live in a commieblock in Petržalka and I cannot imagine different kind of living. I consider it normal, typical life in most of Bratislava.
I do not think that we have a lack of privacy. When I see some villages or single villa houses generally, it seems that they have less privacy than we have. On the villages, everybody knows each other and it is common when the people can see to other house living room from own house.
Maybe the commieblocks in UK are a little different
But of course, there are some estates in every city that are the base of criminals and drug dealers.
