As for the heavy and precious metals? The battery chemistry is changing all the time. The fact that these cars have a longer lifespan alone never mind 1/5th the energy use is reason enough to switch. Never mind the zero tailpipe emissions and the fact that EVEN if it were all produced from coal power the worst you can say it it would be a statistical wash... |
Not much has changed since 2016 with battery production, and that was a quick Google search. You really need to look into it more closely. They now have the technology but it is expensive and not being used in any electric vehicles yet.
