Two Trillium Line stations could be re-named. The proposed new name for the long standing Carling station is Dow's Lake/Lac Dow for the nearby attraction known for the Tulip Festival, Winterlude, kayaking and canoeing, amongst many other activities. The main reasoning for the name change is that Carling, an 18 km arterial road through the west end of the city, is served by two stations, with Lincoln Fields being the other.

The stations serves thousands of apartments and condos, around a million+ square feet of office space and the proposed new Civic Hospital.

Here's a new rendering. The only difference seems to be the elevator shaft, where a second elevator will be added. The "O" pylon and lantern consistent wit the Confederation Line will likely be added as well.

The other station set to be renamed is Gladstone, an infill station set to open with Trillium Stage 2 in 2022. The proposed name is Corso Italia, for nearby Preston streets' ceremonial name trough Little Italy.

This station will be added between the existing Carling (or Dow's Lake) and Bayview stations. Over a thousand of apartments, many of them affordable, and condos are proposed or u/c within 500 meters.
