I spend most of my summers on Samsø as a kid since my grandparents lived there - it's a very nice place, but the green projects ain't all good..
The island is only 8km wide at it's widest so the windmills make quite an impact when the tallest building around is only 3 floors.. ( they are quite noisy too! )
Back in the old days when it was made an "energy island" there were also talk about banning gas powered cars there, but since it's very sprawly and mainly populated by old retired people and tourists who has vacation houses there that wasn't a real option...
