It would be the normal construction nightmare for a project of this magnitude. But being someone who's living through the Second Ave Subway construction, there are some thing you just have to put up with.

Messing AT ALL with the elevated will bring people out of the woodwork in Astoria. You are vastly underestimating the political opposition this would run into.
