The most recent building at the 38 N. La Cienega address was Benihana's. It was torn down about 4 years ago and is still vacant.
The Stinking Rose is now at 55 N. La Cienega with a large parking area encompassing 53 N. La CIenega, I'm guessing. |

The blog says that Fairchild's restaurant opened in 1953 in the Cherio Room space, and after the owner brought in scabs after a 1963 strike, was destroyed by fire.
