Belk Place - 14 floors (lobby, 3 office, 10 hotel)
This project will be built beside and partially over the historic Carolina Theater. The Belk family is donating $8 million for the renovation of the old theater. This project is on the site originally planned for Encore luxury condos before that fell through during the recession.

The rendering of Encore which was originally planned for this site. No renderings of the new project have been announced, and it will be several floors shorter, but I hope the keep the same scale and a similar design for Belk Place:
