Sept. 3 (CNA) Budget airline Scoot announced on Thursday that it will resume services between
Kaohsiung-Singapore and
Kaohsiung-Osaka, with one weekly flight on each of the two routes starting Sept. 19.
The announcement came as the Singaporean carrier gradually resumes its schedule of services after disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, including flights between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Singapore in July and flights between Taoyuan and Seoul in August.
Scoot said the resumption of flights from the two Taiwanese cities will also allow passengers to easily connect to further destinations from Singapore via any of its affiliated carriers such as Singapore Airlines and SilkAir.
As a safety precaution, all passengers will be required to have their temperatures taken before boarding and wear a face mask throughout the journey, the company said.
It also gave its assurance that members of the flight crew will disinfect the lavatories three times every hour, with extensive sanitation after every flight.
Also, in order to comply with international aviation health safety protocols, passengers are advised to complete and submit health reports online with the airline prior to boarding, the carrier said.
