I used to keep late hours as a grad student too. Grading papers, studying, etc. Not as often or insanely Iate as undergrads cramming for tests, but sometimes. Having a 24 hour place to go nearby for a break and bite to eat with some coffee was helpful. I used to find that studying in a busy eatery was more effective than alone in a quiet office or library. Something about us craves activity with other people around
