True story while I was staying at the Standard in DTLA:
When the elevator doors open on level one, you see across the lobby, through the glass doors, and out to Flower street. Coming down the elevator one morning, while very hungover, the elevator doors open and I froze. It appeared the traffic on Flower was flowing backwards. I was sure it was a combination of reflections in the glass and my hangover. But turns out they were filming The Italian Job. It appeared they were using the whole length of Flower in the FD. The cars, trucks, buses, taxis, etc would drive up the street,
then back-up and do it all over repeatedly.
