I haven't encountered it in person.
The only things I've ever had in person were:
"Gay? Oh Jesus, you're not involved with all that old foolishness are you?"
And:
"Oh for fuck's sake... b'ys, we get it! You're gay. No one fucking cares. Just, enough already!"
