Curious about Stanley B. Wilson, I checked back issues of the Times. Naturally, being a pro-labor candidate, Harrison Otis hated him and vituperated and bloviated against the candidate with his usual vigor. The reference to Wilson as a "theatrical poseur" is a bit rich coming from one of the biggest of the species ever to live in L.A.... Otis was never above getting bitchy about looks, either, obviously beside himself over Wilson's sex appeal. The article is much longer than this, but basically repeats and repeats Otis's hysteria.
