The commercial component is designed to be accessed from the station entrances, so it isn't totally left out of the planning. But yes, it's a shame it wasn't integrated a little more.
But I don't really expect anything this creative and challenging to come out of Surrey any time soon. It's all open space with few geographical restrictions, and we'll be lucky if we get anything more than a slew of hideous Burnaby tower-in-park designs.
