Isn't the real problem school taxes and not so much local government? Start consolidating and take on the unions to get their compensation inline with the private sector. And start shrinking government. I just read that public sector jobs increased by 30,000 or something like that in NYS over the last several years? And the ratio of public to private sector jobs is one of the highest in that nation? Why is that happening?
