It is good that Friendship Heights is getting more housing, as this area hasn't seen much new housing in recent years and this site is very close to the metro station. This shows how detrimental, however, the Height Act is for Washington. Despite having some large lots, the new development goes to the Maryland side of Friendship Heights, which is not inhibited by the restrictions of the Height Act. It shows how arbitrary the Height Act is, as this is almost directly across the street from DC and will have no impact on the views of the Washington Monument and the Capitol.
