Right, Causeway Street... I was thinking of North Station. I tend to think that densely-layered cities are very interesting. Without the elevated rail, Causeway Street is just ordinary. There's nothing to distinguish it from better-looking or busier streets elsewhere.

Similarly, I'm disappointed with the new park space where the Central Artery used to be. I'm glad the highway is no longer there, but the park just seems so empty and uninspired. It seems like more innovative things could have been done with the space, like expanding the Haymarket or something else that generates activity and draws people. The barrier of the highway has been replaced by the void of poorly-conceived open space.
