I had NO idea that turn-of-the-century tourists used a tunnel to reach Sugarloaf!!

As most of you know, Sugarloaf is the stand alone rock formation at far right. (the summit was reached by precarious wooden steps)
February 28, 1901. The steamer 'Hermosa' leaving Catalina Island.
Now I am trying to locate the tunnel in previously posted photos. (I haven't had much luck so far)
