And, I'm wondering if anyone on this forum works or is affiliated with Septa? Maybe they can speak to how much of how little of this project will become reality.
While I don’t work at SEPTA, I am pretty well informed about the goings on and can offer some comments regarding the KOP Spur.

Since it falls under the FTA and not the FRA, SEPTA doesn’t have to worry about this project being shot down like the Schuylkill Valley Metro project of the 1990s.

It is happening. Don’t know how long it’ll take but it’s definitely going to be built.

I was told that they’re looking into also incorporating some sort of RDC shuttle service to extend the line further out by using existing trackage. Which trackage my source was referring to, I have no idea. Ever since that part was told to me I’ve been mighty confused.
