I wonder if it would even be possible to build this today as it was designed, with all that limestone. They would surely increase the size of the windows, maybe gradually with each setback so it conforms with the base.
Do they actually have the air rights anymore to complete it? Especially with that uninspired addition to the MetLife Tower's annex going up soon.
